I have just finished my final poster design for Maker of Men, and here it is:
I feel as though the double exposure effect really sets it off. It adds a little piece of interest to the frame and the all important context/story themes which were otherwise lacking. The text is a really strong point to the design along with the colour and filmic style. The border is also a subtle, but a nice touch.
I think it fully encompasses all the values of the film and also encompasses all of the values I wanted to incorporate from what I loved in film photography and ink on paper art. I think that it would be a really impactful design to see in advertisement slot and it is really intriguing to look at which would hopefully inspire someone to want to watch it.
The minimal information and design really does well to build mystery and intrigue along with a strong artistic, minimalistic style. I am really happy with how it has all come out and feel as though it pairs perfectly with the styles, feeling and emotions we have pushed for displaying in the actual film itself.
