Style Inspiration

The style present in Breaking Bad is something I want to draw from. It has a very grounded and tangible feel throughout all five series due, in large part, to the way that it is shot. The director used a lot of unconventional camera angles and techniques when shooting the show involving POV shots and impossible camera angles. They work really well to throw the audience off and make them look at an action differently. Things carry more weight or have a new meaning because of what he does with the camera. Here is an example of some of the more unconventional shots prominent on the show:

I think that the style throughout all of the shots shown in the video above create a very unique, personal and interesting atmosphere. Providing a cool way of seeing actions that would otherwise be obscured or plain. It is a technique I have been meaning to explore for a while now. I want to use glass and mounts to get the camera into places that are unexpected. It'll all add to the atmosphere I want to create.

These techniques are something I will explore very soon.
