Noiseless

After a bit of brainstorming and playing around in Illustrator I came up with the name Noiseless. I drew inspiration from existing Guitar brands and Amp manufacturers along with what I mentioned in the target audience post earlier so, without further ado, this is the brand:

I think it is a perfect summation of everything I needed this brand to be. It is quite intricate to appeal to people's idea of quality that they come to look for in the big brands like Fender and Gibson. The colours are very sleek and modern yet classy and classic. This ties together the very end of the spectrum in the target audience I previously defined of 20-50 year olds.

I drew inspiration from the Gibson logo and the marshal colour scheme:

I didn't want to just copy exactly the font and styling from these extremely iconic brands. That has been done to death. I just took little elements from each to create something fresh yet familiar. As you can see the gold and grey is inspired by the classic Marshall JCM head colour scheme. The angular interest I drew from the Gibson logo. And well for that matter most guitar logos. They all tend to employ rather extreme angles for their logos. I took that one step further and used a curved design.

I think it really works. It really draws the eye. I think that it is memorable, aesthetically pleasing and also iconic. It also ties a classic possibly outdated type face into a much more modern colour space and environment. There are no gradients it is all fairly flat, very modern web design. Everything about the logo is classic and nostalgic and yet the angle and limited use of colour helps update it for a more modern environment. I am proud of that fact. To really demonstrate it's modern potential I quickly mocked it up on a modern web homepage:

Here you can also see I have added a little more detail with the "London guitar & amp expo" subheading beneath it. This is something that can be incorporated or left out depending on the environment. All in all I think that this really looks good and does everything I could ever want it to. I can't wait to use this design as a springboard to further develop into a fully functional website.
