Time Management Update

So. I am approaching the half way point in the project and finished the visual side of affairs and thought now a good time for an update. Here is the document for reference:

I am on track so far pretty much. Everything but the title sequence and credits in the visual side is done and both of those bits shouldn't be too time consuming. I will slot them in later in the project as there are some bits me and Jamie need to sort out with them that will take time to process.

I have decided also to shift everything after the visual bits forward by one week to give myself more time and add the last week for contingency. This means that on the week beginning the 4th of May I will begin all of the audio work rather than leaving it until the week beginning the 11th of May. The visual bits took less time than expected and although it isn't fully complete the bits I have left to do are not integral to the story and will be quick to execute as I have done them before. The main meat of the project and the area I am most unsure of is the audio and scoring side and so I thought that the sooner I can start that the better.

I have already addressed most of the audio corrections side of things in the editing phase and so that vast majority of that is already done. That means that from the 4th I will start looking at recording foley.

Jamie is back in Bournemouth now probably for the rest of the project and so that raises new challenges also. I need to work for a client that I cannot realistically meet in person. I can see a lot of Skype calls and a heavy reliance on Dropbox in my future.

This also means that the foley recording will be done completely independently and I can really delve into the art and try and create something engaging and fully realised. I will research the art form and techniques before I get going and end up having a fully mixed .wav to place into the edit.

I am really looking forward to this next section of work and this is for me where the project really unravels.
